Are you looking to feminize your singing voice? Do you have singing experience but feel unsatisfied with the gender presentation of your voice? Are you looking to build confidence and make your feminized speaking voice and your singing more congruent? If so, this group class is for you! This is a 4-week group class via Zoom focused on helping transfemme singers navigate treble-voice singing transition. This class centers on developing skills essential to singing voice feminization, including upward range expansion, stamina building, and resonance modification. Classes consist of interactive lectures and discussions with audio examples followed by masterclasses. Lecture and discussion topics include practical approaches for developing practice strategies, how to break out of a "falsetto" quality, exercises for building voice strength and control, and stylistic considerations. All students are invited to participate in masterclasses by preparing a song to sing and receive guidance on in a group setting. (This is strongly encouraged but not required! Students are welcome to participate in the masterclasses by watching only.)

This class is most tailored to those with at least some singing experience and at least an introductory knowledge of voice feminization, but all are welcome regardless of skill level!

Session 2 Schedule TBD

Cost: $165

What is a masterclass?

The masterclass involves volunteers singing an excerpt of a song and working through it with me as I provide suggestions, instruction, and feedback in front of the group. Typically, this lasts somewhere between 10–20 minutes per student. This aims to be a supportive and encouraging space where students can learn from each other; all experience levels are welcome!
